Error description

• Using the High Performance Extensible Logging (HPEL) Message
  Converter to retrieve the messageid of a given message that
  has a messageid type of IBM4.4.1 will return null instead of
  the messageid.

  You should be able use the HPEL Message Converter to retrieve
  the message id of a given message if the message id format is
  either the WebSphere Application Server v6.0 (and
  earlier)format or the WebSphere Application Server v7.0 (and
  later).  The problem is that the message converter will return
  null if the message format is the format of WebSphere
  Application Server v6.0 and earlier.
  

Problem conclusion

• This has been corrected such that the message ID will be
  returned if the message id format one of WebSphere
  Application Server's format.  If the message ID is not
  recognized as a WebSphere Application Server type, then a null
  will be returned.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.0.0.2.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
