Error description

The deployed ear file is missing in the installedApps
directory after running the wsadmin ear update script

Environment:
WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment edition
V7.0.0.15 on AIX

Local fix

Problem summary

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When an update is performed to an       *
*                      application, the application binaries   *
*                      are missing from the installed          *
*                      directory.                              *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
When an update is performed to an application involving a
removal of a file with the name ending with deployment.xml,
the application binaries are missing from the installed
directory after the update is complete.

Problem conclusion

The problem has been corrected.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 7.0.0.23 and 8.0.0.3.  Please refer to the
