Error description

  • If during reading of records from a High Performance
    Extensible Logging (HPEL) repository containing odd number of
    WBL files one or more of the middle (not the last or read
    already ones) files are removed reading will skip back and
    continue returning records from the last file read instead of
    skipping forward to the next available file.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Reading log of a running server         *
    *                      switch to HPEL mode may show already    *
    *                      read records again if record clean up   *
    *                      is turned on.                           *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:  Reading log records again should correct    *
    *                  that problem.                               *
    ****************************************************************
    When record clean up policy causes more than one WBL file to
    be removed during reading of HPEL repository it may cause
    reading loop to skip back to already read WBL file and return
    log records already handled in the loop.
