Error description
During post install processing, java logging files are created inadvertently in the user.home of the process. These will have names like java0.log and java0.lck.
Local fix
These files can be safely deleted.

These files are default files which gets created when log file name is not given. However,these files were not being used for logging, plus they are created outside the configuration hfs.
Problem conclusion
Support has been modified to stop the creation of java.log and java.lck files since they are not required. APAR PM55558 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service Level (Fix Pack) 8.0.0.3 of WebSphere Application Server V8.0.
