    Cyclic wait for locks was introduced by synchronization in
    ExpirationTimer class and ContextBasedQueue class.
    

Problem conclusion

  • To prevent the deadlock a code part of the
    finishedToExecuteTask method was pulled out from the
    synchronization in ContextBasedQueue class. This code does
    not have to be in the critical section and thus does not
    have to synchronized. This prevents the circular wait.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 8.0.0.4.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
