APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The customer was installing V8 of Websphere Application
  Server.  When they ran BBOMPROC, they received error:
  CWLCS1109E Target data set cust.PROCLIB.abc is not a
  partitioned data set.
  The data set is a PDSE and in fact not a PDS.
  Research showed that sys1.proclib must be a PDS but that
  user proclibs may be a PDSE.  BBOMPROC should be modified
  to allow a PDS or a PDSE.
  Note:  This problem is new to V8 as the job to copy the
  procs, BBOMPROC, is new.
  

Local fix

• Use a PDS for the proclib or manually copy the procs to
  the PDSE.

  The BBOxPROC customization job that has been created by the
  Profile Management Tool for z/OS fails to copy the generated
  procs to a PDSE user proclib. The following error message is
  issued by the BBOxPROC job:
  CWLCS1109E Target data set XXXXXX is not a partitioned data
  set.
  

Problem conclusion

• The utility function that is invoked by the BBOxPROC jobs to
  copy the generated procs to MVS partitioned data sets has been
  modified to accept both PDS and PDSE target data sets.
  
  APAR PM55861 is currently targeted for inclusion in
  Service Level (Fix Pack) 8.0.0.3 of WebSphere Application
  Server V8.0.
