Error description

  • This problem occurs when messages are stuck on the messaging
    engine (ME) which hosts the publication point and messages
    fail to move to the messaging engine which has the durable
    subscriber home.

    The stuck messages are in the "Pending acknowledgement" state.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    This problem is seen in publish subscribe environment. The
    messages were not flowing from one ME (point where messages
    were published) to another ME (point where the durable
    subscription home was defined). This was caused due to a
    mismatch in ticks (internal state of ME) at the 2 ME's.
    The messages remain in pending acknowledgment mode.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been modified to ensure that the tick mismatch
    does not occur. This APAR will ensure that message flow
    between ME's does not stop due to tick mismatch

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 7.0.0.25 and 8.0.0.5. Please refer to the
