Error description

  • There is an exception (java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
    org/objectweb/asm/ClassReader) when deploying some
    applications in which the EAR encloses a jar file without any
    descriptor and which is not referred by others. The deployment
    fails.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Using IBM Web Administration for        *
    *                      iSeries to deploy some kinds of war     *
    *                      files will fail.                        *

    If the war file being deployed includes jar files in the root
    of ther war, and without description, an exception will occur
    because of missing classes to handle this situation in runtime
    of IBM Web Administration for iSeries.
