Error description

  • The script that is used to invoke profile augmentation on
WebSphere Application Server for z/OS only supports EBCDIC
file encodings when running profile augmentation. This requires
special logic in the profile augmentation config actions of
stack products when accessing ASCII files on the z/OS
platform. By supporting an ASCII file encoding on z/OS for
profile augmentation the config actions of stack products do
not need to be modified to handle ASCII files on the z/OS
platform (the same logic will work for both the distributed and
z/OS platforms). Note that the default file encoding still
needs to be EBCDIC so that profile augmentation for existing
stack products is not affected by this update.
