  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CDI may fail at application startup     *

  *                      normal-scoped beans have been disabled  *
  *                      via the @Specializes annotation.        *

  * RECOMMENDATION:  Apply this fix if CDI reports that a bean,  *
  *                  which has been specialized via              *
  *                  @Specializes,                               *
  *                  has dependencies are not passivation        *
  *                  capable.                                    *
  ****************************************************************
  When a bean has been @Specialized, it is effectively disabled
  and
  not available for injection.  CDI still checked such beans to
  see
  if they could be safely injected within their defined scope,
  which is not necessary.
  

Problem conclusion

• CDI code has been corrected.
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  following fix pack 8.0.0.4
