Problem Description:

When migrating applications from WebSphere Application Server
Version 6.1 or prior, if a web module has a version 2.5 or
later, errors can result during WASPostUpdate application
install.

Environment:
------------
WebSphere Application Server v7, v8
OS: AIX, z/OS

The migration tool will be changed to set the version of web
modules back to 2.4 if they are at a higher level.

*                      migrating to v7.0 or later.             *

Although the Web Modules do not exploit any 2.5 constructs or
behaviors, they are marked as v2.5 WebModules - when in
reality they are only 2.4 Web Modules.  A problem occurs when
the application is deployed during a migration.  The deploy
tool sees the Web Module 2.5 setting and creates new xml
bindings and extensions.  However, the application already has
the correct xmi bindings and extensions.  The v7, v8 or v85
deploytool gets confused when both binding types are present
and fails the app install.

Problem conclusion

Migration tooling has agreed to plug this hole in v6.1 by
resetting the Web Module 2.5 marker back to 2.4.  This allows
the application to be installed correctly on the new verison.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.25, 8.0.0.4 and 8.5.0.1.  Please refer to the
