Error Description&#65496;
The Local Comm code does not honor the connection timeout
value.  This can cause a thread that does a local connect call
to hang.

The server issued a local communication connect call (bboclscc)
to establish a connection with another server.  A timing window
was hit in termination of the target server that left the
caller of the connect hung in the local comm PC routine
(bboclspc).  There is no client-side timer to break the caller
of the connect request out of its wait for the connection to
complete.

Problem conclusion

Code has been added to honor the connection timeout value
supplied to the Local Communication Channel.

APAR PM61861 requires changes to documentation.

APAR PM61861 is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Packs
7.0.0.27, 8.0.0.5, and 8.5.0.2 of WebSphere Application Server.
