  WebSphereAnnotationLifecycleProvider within MyFaces.

  The following exception can occur after a Portal "update web
  module" action:
  java.lang.ClassCastException:
  com.ibm.ws.portletcontainer.core.impl.PortletContextImpl
  incompatible with javax.servlet.ServletContext
  

Problem conclusion

• The JSF MyFaces 2.0 implementation in WebSphere Application
  Server was updated so the exception does not occur.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.0.0.4.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
