    CDI does NOT correctly serialize and deserialize their state
    for failover and persistence.

    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application *
    * Servers that leverage Java EE Contexts and *
    *                  Dependency Injection (CDI).                 *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CDI runtime does NOT correctly *
    * failover CDI beans that contain *
    *                      @inject 'ed EJBs.                       *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    CDI serialization has some knowledge of EJB serialization;
    however the CDI runtime does NOT take care of serializing or
    deserializing No Interface View (NIV) and local indirect EJB
    proxies.

Problem conclusion

  • CDI runtime has been fixed to correctly serialize and
    deserialize EJBs and other Java EE objects when CDI beans
    failover.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 8.0.0.4 and 8.5.0.1. Please refer to the Recommended
