APAR status

Error description

  • After  clicking "View Logs" from "Monitoring and Tuning" >
    "Performance Viewer" > "View Logs") after viewing the Tivoli
    Performance Viewer (TPV) log, and then returning to that same
    panel a ClassCastException occured and "View Logs" screen is
    not displayed.

    The Tivoli Performance Viewer (TPV) player produces the
    following ClassCastException on coming back to same panel
    after viewing TPV logs via TPV Player.

Problem conclusion

  • The problem is due to the fact that a value of type Boolean is
    returned instead of String. Code has been corrected to make
    sure that the right type and value are returned and verified
    that the link to the log file previously viewed is presented
    instead of the exception.
    
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 7.0.0.25, 8.0.0.4 and 8.5.0.1.  Please refer to the
