Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The filters are not invoked and a       *
  *                      ServletException is thrown when the     *
  *                      requested JSP resource is missing.      *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  When the requested JSP resource is missing from the installed
  application and the filters are mapped to the requested URI ,
  the filters fail to invoke and a ServletException is thrown.
  

Problem conclusion

• The JSP container and the Webcontainer code were modified so
  that the filters will be invoked when the requested URI is
  mapped to the filters.
  A FileNotFoundException will be thrown instead of
  ServletException when the Webcontainer custom property is set
  com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.throwMissingJspException = true
  (default= false)
