Error description

• A NullPointerException is reported on the console when a
  command button in a portlet facelet is clicked at runtime and
  the portlet is disabled .

  The JavaServer Faces(JSF) 2.0 Portlet Bridge throws a
  NullPointerException for a view root in the restore view phase
  of  the JSF lifecycle.  Due to incorrect value of the viewRoot
  in the restoreView
  phase, the view can not be restored and thus the portlet is
  not rendered.
  

Problem conclusion

• The JSF 2.0 Portlet Bridge was updated to set the viewroot in
  the restoreView method.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix packs 8.0.0.5 and 8.5.0.1.  Please refer to the
