APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Migration trace settings fail when the new 8.0 format is used.
  Prior to WebSphere 8.0 the migration related trace settings
  were either set to enabled or disabled.   In release 8.0 these
  were changed to allow settings like postUpGradeTrace=4.  When
  these numeric trace settings are used, the traces fail to be
  created and there are syntax error messages.

  Quotation handling in shell scripts executed on z/OS prevented
  the traceStrings from being interpretted correctly.
  

Problem conclusion

• Support was moved to remove quotation marks from the script
  that handles traceString interpretation.
  
  APAR PM65022 is currently targeted for inclusion in
  Fix Packs 8.0.0.4 and 8.5.0.1 of WebSphere Application
  Server.
