Problem conclusion
The following fix was contributed to the Apache MyFaces Open Source Community and pulled into WebSphere Application Server to resolve this problem: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MYFACES-3590 The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 8.0.0.5 and 8.5.0.2.
