Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the WS-Notification Service for * * IBM WebSphere Application Server * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException * * occurs if the WS-Notification service * * application has missing components * * during uninstall. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** During uninstall, the WS-Notification service would attempt to perform clean up actions. If the resources to be cleaned up were not present, processing would continue and an ArrayIndexOutOfBounds error was thrown. The resources are not normally missing, but this condition can occur if the files are manually deleted, or a file system error occurs.
Problem conclusion
The problem has been corrected by altering the WS-Notification service to not attempt clean up on resources that are not present. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 7.0.0.25, 8.0.0.5, and 8.5.0.1.
