Error description

• Server fails to start and the JVM issues an error for an
  unrecognized option in the console.log when the jvm.option
  file being used has been edited on and transferred from a
  Microsoft Windows system to a non-Windows based operating
  system.
  
  For example, if adding the -Xdump:heap option to jvm.options,
  the server will fail to start, and console.log will contain:
  JVMDUMP000E Dump option unrecognized: -Xdump:heap

  *                      script does not remove.                 *

  The server script does not remove the invisible carriage
  return characters in the jvm.options file.  Because of this the
  JVM issues a JVMDUMP000E message in the console.log and the
  server fails to start.
  

Problem conclusion

• The server script was updated to remove carriage returns.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.0.1. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page
