Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty * * profile users configuring SSL through * * tooling who fail to add defaultKeyStore * * in the id field * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If a keystore element exists in a * * server.xml file without an id an * * IllegalArgumentException ffdc entry * * will be created. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The tooling does not require you to enter an id field when you create a keystore element, for example, <keyStore password=myPassword /> A java.lang.IllegalArgumentException will be written to the ffdc logs when keystore elements are processed. At this point you do not have a useful keystore configuration.
Problem conclusion
If the id field is missing when processing keystore elements it will be filled in with "defaultKeyStore". The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.0.1.
