APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
XSLT transformation in mediation module of BPM v8 advanced cannot handle null values (xsi:nil="true") for datatypes that do not allow empty content. Moving the element containing such type does not honour the xsi:nil="true" attribute and results in an exception.
Local fix
workaround User can change the Move mappings in the Mapping Editor to the date/dateTime fields individually, rather than on the containing element.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server * * V8.0 and V8.5 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An exception was being thrown for * * disallowed empty content even though * * xsi:nil="true" was specified. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The xsi:nil="true" property wasn't taken into account when checking if the empty datatype allowed empty content. This resulted in an exception and blocked the application from continuing.
Problem conclusion
The xsi:nil property is now properly processed before throwing an exception for disallowed empty content. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 8.0.0.5 and 8.5.0.1.
