Error description

  • Defined filters in an applications web.xml might not be invoked
    as expected on a particular request if the application uses
    absolute-ordering and has a reference to a filter class from a
    different web fragment or from the main web.xml.

    Using absolute-ordering in web.xml with a reference to a class

    can see filters not being invoked.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed the code to handle a reference to a class with a filter
    mapping when absolute ordering is specified.
    
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 8.5.0.1. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page
