Error description

  • If the monitor-1.0 feature set is enabled and an application is
being monitored for performance, the monitoring stops if the
application is restarted.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Servlet statistics for an application   *
*                      fail to update when application is      *
*                      restarted.                              *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

If performance monitoring is enabled, collecting RequestCount
and ResponseTime data for an application, monitoring works
while the application is running. When the user stops and
starts the application, RequestCount/Responsetime do not
change.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Monitoring data is reported using MXBeans. These MXBeans
needed to be removed when the application is stopped.


The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 8.5.0.1. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page
