APAR status

Error description

  • You may be unable to authenticate if you have configured a
    JAAS login module using WebSphere Application Server
    Development Tools for Eclipse and specified mutiple
    loginModuleRef attributes.
    
    As an example, a failure could occur when a configuration
    similar to the one below is found in the server.xml file for
    the Liberty profile server.

    name="system.DEFAULT">
    <loginModuleRef>myJaasLogin</loginModuleRef>
    <loginModuleRef>token</loginModuleRef>
    </jaasLoginContextEntry>

    If there are multiple loginModuleRef entries with in a
    jaasLoginContextEntry, authenticate may fail.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The schema hides the nested element for loginModuleRef and the
    metatype to use ibm:pid to resolve the tool problem that created
    multiple loginModuleRef attribute for jaasLoginContextEntry
    element.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 8.5.0.1. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page
