    The logViewer tool does not alert you if an invalid date is
    supplied as part of the -startDate or -stopDate options. It
    expects a date of format MM/dd/yy H:m:s:S but will not throw
    an error if supplied with an invalid date such as logViewer.bat
    -startDate "23/04/12 17:03:54:231 BST". Instead, it will
    continue normally but return 0 records.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The fix with this APAR ensures that validation happens for
    date parameters such as -startDate and -stopDate
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 8.0.0.7 and 8.5.5.1.  Please refer to the
