Common utilities are needed to support login module updates to
the WS-Security engine.

Update some classes that are common to five login module APARs:
PM65435
PM70805
PM70831
PM70885
PM70894

Problem conclusion

The functionality of what was added in this APAR has been
documented in each of the parent APARs.

The following external interface is updated:

com.ibm.websphere.wssecurity.wssapi.token.GenericSecurityTokenFa
ctory

In GenericSecurityTokenFactory, the following interfaces are
added:

UsernameToken getSimpleUsernameToken(String username);
UsernameToken getSimpleUsernameToken(String username, char[]
password);
X509Token getSimpleX509PublicToken(X509Certificate certificate);
X509Token getSimpleX509PrivateToken(X509Certificate
certificate, Key privateKey) throws WSSException;
X509Token getSimpleX509Token(X509Certificate certificate, Key
privateKey);
BinarySecurityToken getSimpleBinarySecurityToken(Class
tokenClass, byte[] binary) throws WSSException;
void putAuthenticatedTokenToSharedState(Map sharedState,
SecurityToken token);

This APAR does not stand on its own.  In order to obtain the
function needed to use the tokens provided by these
interfaces, one or more of the following APARs is required:

PM65435
PM70805
PM70831
PM70885
PM70894

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 7.0.0.27, 8.0.0.6, and 8.5.0.2.  Please refer to the
