  • Checking an expression value in a JavaServer Pages Standard Tag
    Library ( JSTL ) if statement is returning false when it
    should return true.
    For example:
    
    <fmt:formatNumber var="testNum" value="0.0" pattern="0.00"
    type="number"/>
    testNum == 0.00 : ${testNum == 0.00}
    
    The example above will display the following:
    testNum == 0.00 : false
