  • In the administrative console when you go to the 'Logs and
    Trace' panel, check 'Retain filter critera' and then click
    'Apply' an exception with the message "NoSuchMethodException:
    Unknown property messageName" is reported in SystemErr.log of
    the Deployment Manager.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Opening the 'Logs and Trace' panel      *
    *                      when 'Retain filter criteria' is        *
    *                      selected causes a benign exception to   *
    *                      be reported in SystemErr.log            *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The default search field for this panel is 'server' but by
    mistake it has 'messageName' used on the first load of the
    panel when 'Retain filter criteria' is selected. This results
    in a 'NoSuchMethodException' reported but the code fails over
    to using 'server' afterwards.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This fix corrects the name of the default search field to
    avoid the exception being thrown.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 8.0.0.5 and 8.5.0.1.  Please refer to the Recommended
