Error description

• Applications running in WebSphere Application Server for
  z/OS are unable to participate in a global (protected)
  transaction with IMS applications when using WOLA over OTMA
  and running IMS with RRS=YES.

  WebSphere Application Server for z/OS transactional
  applications are not having their transactional context
  propagated to IMS for calls using WOLA over OTMA and when IMS
  is running with RRS=YES.
  

Problem conclusion

• WOLA is changed to propagate and assert the RRS transaction
  context to IMS from WAS for calls that use WOLA over OTMA.
  With this, WOLA can support a WAS to IMS global (2PC)
  transaction. For this to work, the IMS environment must be
  running with RRS=YES.
  
  APAR PM71314 is currently targeted for inclusion in
  Fix Packs 8.0.0.5 and 8.5.0.2 of WebSphere Application
  Server.
