    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    WOLA supports a single request/response container and only
    allows the Record type to be an IndexedRecord for WAS
    application to CICS application calls.

Problem conclusion

  • The WOLA resource adapter is enhanced to support passing a
    CICS channel name and one or more request container names and
    data. It also supports receiving back from CICS one or more
    response container names and data. This support is provided by
    adding support for MappedRecord types for calls to/from
    external address spaces. For calls to CICS and using the WOLA
    CICS Link Server, the MappedRecord must contain a 16
    character container name as the key and the container record
    data as the value data. Each record in the MappedRecord
    represents data to be placed in a unique CICS container. For
    more information, refer to the WebSphere Application Server
    Information Center.
