Problem summary

    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application *
    * Server who deploy EBA applications using *
    *                  the wsadmin tool.                           *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The dependency check for EBA *
    * applications failed when using the *
    *                      wsadmin tool.                           *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When deploying an EBA application using the wsadmin tool, the
    server dependency check incorrectly requires all nodes to
    support all application requirements, even if the MapTargets
    parameter specifies a subset of the cell. If a node does not
    support all features, an error is returned.

Problem conclusion

  • The application dependency check has been updated to only
    validate the targets specified in the MapTargets parameter.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack x.x.x.x. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
