Error description

  • Empty string of keystore system property causing SSL
    initialzation fail with KeyStore "" does not exist
    
    
    When making outbound ssl call from application it attempt to
    load DefaultSystemProperties_trust and passing keyStoreType is

    When empty string is set to keystore/truststore system
    properties (such as javax.net.ssl.keyStore or
    javax.net.ssl.trustStore), WebSphere Application Server should
    ignore the value as the keystore location is not valid.
    However, it tries to open the keystore/truststore and fails.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The code is updated to use the Application Servers keystore and
    truststore when empty string is specified for system keystore
    properties.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 7.0.0.27, 8.0.0.6, 8.5.0.2.  Please refer to the
