Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server using dynacache with JVM custom * * properties for the baseCache. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Custom properties for the baseCache * * must be set as JVM custom properties. * * JVM custom properties affect all * * cache instances. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** It is not possible to set custom properties specifically for the baseCache and they must be set as JVM custom properties. Properties set as a JVM custom property affect all cache instances.
Problem conclusion
Custom properties for the baseCache can now be set at Application server -> Container services -> Dynamic cache services -> Custom properties and will only affect the baseCache. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 7.0.0.27, 8.0.0.6, and 8.5.0.2.
