Error description

  • Profile Management Tool (PMT) erroneously flags port values as
    duplicates when you attempt to re-assign the values by going
    back to the previous port panel. Some of its panels also
    unnecessarily refer to Samples in the description.

    PMT erroneously flags port values as duplicates when you
    attempt to re-assign the values by going back to the previous
    port panel. Some of its panels also unnecessarily refer to
    Samples in the description.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This problem was caused because PMT was using previously cached
    port values instead of the new ones during validation. This has
    been fixed, and the panel descriptions that refer to "Samples"
    have been updated.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 8.5.0.1.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
