PM75469: WEB SERVICES RUNTIME CAN NOT ACCESS XSD WHEN THE SXD URL CONTAINS NON-ENGLISH CHARACTERS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When a web service is defined by a wsdl and the xsd has
  non-English characters, then during client code generation you
  will see errors relating to location/loading the xsd.
  
  If a WebSphere Application Server web services trace is run,
  you will see this:
  
  WASAxis2Servl Reporting that queried XSD file does not exist.
  

Local fix

• Change the URL to have english-only characters.

  There is a matching check between service URL and XSD URL, so
  the method will retrieve the exact XSD file that is requested
  for the service. During the matching check the two URLs, the
  XSD URL is encoded but the service URL is not, so the match
  always return false and reporting that queried XSD file does
  not exist.
  

Problem conclusion

• To resolve the problem, we are now encoding the service URL
  path before the matching.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.0.2.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
