PM76045: WEBSPHERE APPLICATION SERVER IS NOT SETTING VRA CORRECTLY

Error description

DAE (for dump suppression) uses VRA (Variable Recording Area)
to determine if a dump should be suppressed.  WebSphere
Application Server is not setting the length for VRA correctly,
so DAE does not supress the dump.

IP ST FAILDATA on the dump and LOGREC shows there is no data in
the VRA:
NO DATA EXISTS IN THE VARIABLE RECORDING AREA

IP VERBEXIT DAEDATA on the dump shows
THIS DUMP WAS NOT SUPPRESSED BECAUSE
THE VRA KEY TO ALLOW SUPPRESSION OF DUPLICATE DUMPS WAS ABSENT.

When SUPPRESS is specified in ADYSETxx, dumps from bborlext
are not suppressed by DAE. bborlext puts VRADAE into the VRA
but does not correctly set the length of the VRA so the
VRA data is ignored by DAE.

Problem conclusion

Changed the code to set the length of the VRA data.

APAR PM76045 is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Packs
7.0.0.29, 8.0.0.6, and 8.5.0.2 of WebSphere Application Server.
