Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Cannot enable individual class level * * trace for the most common * * WebContainer traces on the server. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** During analysis of a problem it is required to analyze the most common traces from the server where the problem is reported . But often times, due to fear of poor performance, we need to enable the lightest trace possible. Currently Webcontainer server traces can only be enabled at the package level.
Problem conclusion
The fix enables the trace logging for WebContainer problems at the individual class level for the most common code paths that will help in the analysis of problems. The trace specification will be provided during analysis on a per needed basis. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 7.0.0.29, 8.0.0.7, and the fix pack following 8.5.0.2.
