PM77269: WEB SERVER PLUG-IN ON HP-UX IS UNABLE TO CONNECT USING SSL

Error description

IBM web server Plug-in v7.0 running in IBM HTTP Server v7.0 on
HP-UX operating system.

Plug-in is unable to connect to IBM WebSphere Application
Server appservers using SSL / HTTPS transports.

Plug-in log shows these errors:

ERROR: Unable to find a transport
ERROR: Failed to find a transport

Local fix

Temporary workaround is to change the plug-in config to use
HTTP transports only.

There was an early problem in the ssl library which prevented
SSL connections from working. That problem had been resolved
but the code to allow SSL connections was still disabled in
the plugin.

Problem conclusion

Removed code to disable SSL on HP. This problem only applies
to the plugin on HP and only applies to the version 7 release.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.29.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
