PM77718: OK OVERWRITES APPLY IN ADMINISTRATIVE CONSOLE ON J2C AUTHENTICATION DATA SETTINGS

Error description

When applying J2C authentication data setting in the WAS V7
adminconsole as follows: Security > Global Security > Java
Authentication and authorisation Service -> J2C authentication
Data the changes are captured but as soon as we press OK
afterwards the settings are overwritten and a "SECJ07732E: The
specified auth data entry doe not exist."is returned.

*                      then "Ok" on the Administrative         *
*                      Console, "SECJ07732E" displays          *

Users creating a J2C authentication Data profile on
administrative console first click "Apply" and then
"Ok", the following message appears on the screen:
"SECJ07732E: The specified auth data entry doe not exist."is
returned. This error also occurs when running wsadmin.

Problem conclusion

The administrative console will rebuild the panel information
so the alias will match what the adminTask created. Note this
will not fix wsadmin but only the console.

APAR PM77718 is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Packs
7.0.0.29, 8.0.0.7 and 8.5.5.0 of Websphere Application Server.
