  Windows 8 and 2012, there is a warning panel saying the
  platform is not a supported WebSphere Application Server
  offering.
  

Problem conclusion

• Added the Microsoft Windows 8 and 2012 versions to windows
  platforms in the plugins of WCI release.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix packs 8.0.0.6 and 8.5.0.2.  Please refer to the
  Recommended Updates page for delivery information:
