    * prevents the application from *
    *                      starting.                               *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The CDI container prevents applications from starting if a
    TypeNotPresentException is thrown while adding an AnnotatedType.
    Some other exceptions, such ClassNotFoundExceptions and
    ClassNoDefFoundError causes the AnnotatedType to be ignored.

Problem conclusion

  • The CDI container has been changed to treat a
    TypeNotPresentException the way it already treats a
    ClassNotFoundException and ignore the AnnotatedType rather than
    preventing the application from starting.
