  • When 'Require Registration' is selected for a WS-Notification
    broker, no Notifies are sent to subscribers even if the
    ProducerReference is added to the Notify.

    The WS-Notification service in WebSphere Application Server
    was checking the WS-Addressing header for the
    ProducerReference instead of the Endpoint Reference.  As a
    result, when 'Require Registration' is selected, any
    subsequent Notifies with the correct ProducerReference would
    fail to be delievered to subscribers.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This APAR resolves the problem by changing the code to ensure
    that when 'Require Registration' is selected, the Endpoint
    Reference is used to find ProducerReference information
    instead of the WS-Addressing header when checking a Notify has
    the correct publisher ID.
    
    The fix for this APAR is targeted for the fix pack following
    8.5.0.2.
