    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    In the WebSphere Application Server for z/OS controller region,
    when the outbound IIOP request times out, the BBOO0325W
    message displays garbled hostname value. This is caused due
    to not properly initializing the remote host address on an
    outbound connection request.
    'BBOO0325W An IIOP request for Class Name
    'com.xyz.test.ejb.EJSRemoteStatelessTestApplicationEJB_f48a5470'
    and Method Name 'process', to 'hostname=g port=3818',
    has timed out'.

Problem conclusion

  • Code was updated so that for outbound connect request, the
    remote host address is initialized properly.

    APAR PM83001 is currently targeted for inclusion in
    Fix Pack 7.0.0.29 of WebSphere Application Server.
