Problem summary

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: SIP Container keeps SS/SAS around if    *
    *                      there is no response to CANCEL even     *
    *                      after it sees a response to INVITE.     *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When no response to a CANCEL, the SIP container wrongly
    generated a 408 Timeout to an INVITE rather than CANCEL and
    processed the response to the proxy application. Thus, the
    application was getting 2 different non-2xx final responses to
    the INVITE. As a result the SS/SAS was not ready to invalidate.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The SIP container now generates a 408 timeout to the CANCEL
    when no response to the CANCEL.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 8.0.0.6 and 8.5.5.  Please refer to the Recommended
    Updates page for delivery information:
