Error description

• Application deployment fails with a MergeProcessingException
  when a RolesAllowed annotation is placed on a target class
  which is abstract and which has no subclasses which are EJB
  classes.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: RolesAllowed annotated classes that     *
  *                      are not EJBs causes a MergeException.   *

  The current implementation expects that a class annotated with
  the @RolesAllowed annotation is an EJB,  or is a superclass of
  an EJB.  A MergeException is thrown if this is not true.
  There is nothing in the specification which requires that
  there be an EJB for a class annotated with @RolesAllowed,
  therefore throwing the exception is an incorrect action.
  

Problem conclusion

• The merge processing code was changed to no longer present an
  error when a RolesAllowed annotated class is not an EJB.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix packs 8.0.0.7 and 8.5.5.1.  Please refer to the
