APAR status

Error description

  • In Apache error logs data which is coming from the plug-in is
    being inserted in EBCDIC and not in ASCII.
    

Local fix

  • This is not a functional deficit. There is no work around.
    

Problem summary

    *                      unreadable characters logged when       *

    Plugin was attempting to write to the log files in EBCDIC
    instead of ASCII. The data attempting to be written is the
    plugin configuration so that it is provided to IBM when
    debugging any problems.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Plugin code has been corrected to write to the logfile in
    ASCII. This affects users on z/OS only.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 8.0.0.7.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
    page for delivery information:

Temporary fix

  • Ignore the problem, there is no functional problems and please
    provide the configuration to IBM if a problem is reported and
    the fix is not applied.
