PM85571: CONFIGURATION CHANGES CAN BE LOST

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Some modifications to the servers configuration may be lost.
  If for example if a configuration element is moved from
  appearing as a top level element to be placed inside another
  configuration element then this  moved element can be lost. If
  this moved element is a library then the library may become
  unavailable. The server will need a clean start to rectify the
  issue.

  Configuration changes where an element was moved from the top
  level of the server configuration to being nested under
  another element were not being processed correctly.
  

Problem conclusion

• Configuration change processing now correctly identifies
  changes where top level elements become nested elements.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page
