  displayed for "IBM HTTP Server V8.5" in Japanese.

  On the web server selection panel of the Plug-ins
  Configuration Tool (PCT), extra characters are displayed for
  "IBM HTTP Server V8.5" in Japanese. This is due to the
  particulars for Japanese translation of the characters
  that are used as short-cut keys.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code has been enhanced to avoid the short-cut key
  characters showing up as extra characters in Japanese, or
  any other locales that use double-byte characters.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  the fix pack following 8.5.0.2.  Please refer to the
  Recommended Updates page for delivery information:
